Like all forms of fiction, fans gravitate towards anime characters because of their personalities and history, the things which show they are human. Anime tends to give characters as much personal detail as possible, which is why most characters have a birthday. Certain series make it a point to celebrate specific birthdays, and it turns out that several well-known anime characters were born in June.

8 Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon)

Sailor Moon has been around since the 90s, and it helped to turn a generation of young girls into anime fans. Usagi Tsukino is the main character, and she was born on June 30th. She was originally a member of the Moon Kingdom, but she was reborn on Earth where she became Sailor Moon, the leader of the Sailor Guardians.

Usagi is known for her long blond hair, and when she goes into battle, she wears her iconic armored leotard uniform. She does not like fighting, but when she does, she uses powers that revolve around moonlight, healing, love, and purification.

7 Juuzou Suzuya (Tokyo Ghoul)

Tokyo Ghoul is a great series which features a man-eating humanoid species called Ghouls, who all possess regenerative powers and a predatory organ called a Kagune. Juuzou Suzuya is a human Special Class Ghoul Investigator, and he is now believed to be the strongest Investigator in the series.

His childhood was pretty rough, as he was held by an influential Ghoul, and this experience made it so that he no longer feels things like pain or fear. He stitches himself as a form of body modification, and he is a very talented fighter who can take on some of the more terrifying Ghouls. He was born June 8th.

6 Elizabeth Liones (Seven Deadly Sins)

When Elizabeth was first introduced in The Seven Deadly Sins, she was an ordinary human princess, but as the series progressed, fans learned that she is actually part of the Goddess Clan. Her clan was at war with the Demon Clan, but that did not stop her from falling in love with Meliodas, the Demon King’s son.

As punishment for this, she was cursed with reincarnation. Each time she died, she would come back as a human with no memories, and each time she regained her memories, she would die a short time later. Other than the Supreme Deity, she is seen as the strongest Goddess, and her 107th incarnation was born on June 18th.

5 Sarutobi Ayame (Gintama)

Gintama features one of the strongest swords in anime, and although Sarutobi Ayame does not wield it, she is still an impressive fighter. She has become infatuated with the series’ main protagonist, and when she is not working at the Kunoichi Café, she works as an assassin.

She was born on June 2nd, and her father trained her to be a ninja from a very young age, which explains why she is so good at throwing kunai. Thanks to her training, Sarutobi’s aim is perfect, despite the fact that she has poor eyesight.

4 Miroku (Inuyasha)

In Inuyasha, Miroku is a known womanizer, but he is also a kind and brave pacifist who would willingly sacrifice himself to protect others. He was born on June 2nd, and from the moment he was born, he was forced to live with a literal ticking clock.

His grandfather battled a powerful half-demon named Naraku numerous times, and Naraku placed a curse on his right hand which was passed down to his decedents. This curse is known as the Wind Tunnel, and it is essentially a black hole in the center of the wielder’s palm. If Naraku was not defeated, Miroku would have eventually been sucked into it.

3 Rob Lucci (One Piece)

Many One Piece fans consider Rob Lucci to be one of the series’ best major villains, which is understandable since he took Luffy to the absolute limit. Lucci ate a Zoan-type Devil Fruit which allows him to transform into a leopard, and he is considered to be the strongest assassin in the history of CP9.

He was born on June 2nd, and he was recruited by CP9 when he was just six years old. Lucci is known for his emotionless demeanor, but he does not like being insulted. He believes that weakness is a sin, and he will do anything and kill anyone if they go against the World Nobles and his view of justice.

2 Hisoka Marrow (Hunter X Hunter)

Many consider Hisoka to be Hunter x Hunter’s best villain because he is a powerful Hunter who has appeared in nearly every arc. He was born on June 6th, and he was once part of the Phantom Troupe, an infamous group of criminals.

Hisoka wishes to fight as many powerful individuals as possible, and he does not mind killing whatsoever. He possesses enhanced physical abilities and a keen mind which makes him a master strategist. He can change the texture and appearance of flat surfaces, and his Bungee Gum ability turns his aura into very durable, flexible, and sticky elastic.

1 Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop)

Cowboy Bebop is a classic anime, and Spike Spiegel is the main character, but he is also one of the best bounty hunters in all of anime. Spike was born on June 26th, and he was once part of the Red Dragon Crime Syndicate, but he left that life behind when he fell in love and faked his own death.

He is known for being a lazy and at times, sarcastic character, but he is very good at what he does. He has impeccable eyesight, and he is quite skilled in Jeet Kune Do, a martial arts style. Spike is also well-versed in firearms and explosives.
