Typically, Black Friday sales and deal pages drop a week or two before the event takes place. Fans looking for great gaming deals should be patient, but at least for those shopping at Best Buy, it’s good to know when to expect early access dates and more. However, it should be noted that these are reserved for My Best Buy or TotalTech members (and similar requirements are to be expected of retailers like Walmart this Black Friday).

There are a few dates consumers will want to keep in mind. TotalTech and My Best Buy members gain early access to the sales, beginning on November 17 and 18 respectively, and end on November 19. Everyone will have access to Black Friday sales on November 20, with Best Buy promising thousands of deals. Of course, that takes place a week before Black Friday proper, and so sales once again pick up on Thanksgiving Day (November 24). These Black Friday sales will only be available online, but on Black Friday proper (November 25), all the deals will be available in stores and online.

After that, Best Buy will host its Cyber Monday sale from November 27 through November 28, but it’s not immediately clear if it’s only online. Presumably, it is. Once it ends, Best Buy will be rotating between new deals every day during its 20 days of deals sale, for anyone still needing to pick up a few things ahead of Christmas and the holidays.
As to what will be on sale, it’s hard to say. Nintendo games almost never go on sale, and games like God of War Ragnarok, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Sonic Frontiers, and other October and November releases are unlikely to go on sale (and if any do, it’s likely to be a small discount). Several big 2022 games could go on sale though, like Elden Ring, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, and so on. Nonetheless, fans can ultimately expect sale ads and more to drop in the coming weeks.
